It was a ridiculously long time, but I figured that it was better than smoking. One morning I put on my trusty patch and it made me VERY sick, it felt like nicotine poisoning. Dizzy, pukey, miserable. I took the patch off, felt fine after a few hours, and that was the last one I had. Which is no help at all to you, I'm sorry. I can say that I cannot wait until I am a very old person and diagnosed with a terminal illness, because THAT DAY I am starting up smoking. I was on the patch for eight months.
