I like jruby. It's also useful if you need to build ruby scripts for folks. You can package the whole kit and kaboodle into a single executable, and give it to folks this way they don't have to officially install ruby. (yes they need java already installed)

I was on the patch for eight months. It was a ridiculously long time, but I figured that it was better than smoking. One morning I put on my trusty patch and it made me VERY sick, it felt like nicotine poisoning. Dizzy, pukey, miserable. I took the patch off, felt fine after a few hours, and that was the last one I had. Which is no help at all to you, I'm sorry. I can say that I cannot wait until I am a very old person and diagnosed with a terminal illness, because THAT DAY I am starting up smoking.

Dude. You're every bit the webapp addict I am. Nice list. But no love -- or even a wary, uneasy quid pro quo with -- the Goog? Without access to gmail, goocal, reader, analytics and gmaps (um, and search, too, I suppose) I would quickly and painfully expire.

Other webapps in constant current rotation:

» bit.ly
» Basecamp
» SlimTimer, although I may switch back to FreshBooks
» Pandora <-- my station
» StumbleUpon - don't love it as a discovery tool, but it's the best traffic driver for green sites.
» NetVibes
» Techmeme/Memeorandum
» Agglomerator
» PostRank/AideRSS
» Notify.me - fabulous IM notifier, when fed by critical Twitter searches, RSS feeds, etc.
» Cornify
